they say it is tasteless ,I say it is brilliant!!

On the latest cover of Newsweek ,Princess Diana and Kate Middleton are walking side-by-side ,they say it is tasteless and shocking to play around with a photo of a dead person. The editor-in-chief of Newsweek Tina Brown explained that if Diana had lived to her 50th birthday(1ST of July) she would have owned an iPhone, got Botox, worn J.Crew ,and moved to NYC. So, what do you think about the cover, Tasteless or Brilliant?

bright eyes

These last couple nights were very hard but THANK GOD!! the air conditioner is fine now but not getting enough sleep caused me dark circles under my eyes .Here's some make-up tips for bright eyes (or hiding dark circles) .

1. Start on a clean face that has been moisturized and primed.

2. Correct any under-eye dark circles with your favourite crease-less concealer and a lay-down conealer brush.
3. Apply a pearly liquid highlighter under your eyes, starting at your nose then working outward with an egg-shaped blending sponge, using the pointed end of the sponge to dab and stipple it to the desired areas (this really presses the product into the skin). Increase the area down to just above your cheekbone, all the way from your nose to the beginning of your temples.
4. Then again on about a quarter-inch above your brows, start at the outer corner above your left brow then dab all the way across to the outer corner above your right brow.
5. Last, apply foundation to your whole face, reaching the perimeters of the highlighted area, but NOT covering it. To be more precise in your foundation application, use a sponge or foundation brush, then blend with your fingers.  The key is to only apply foundation to the areas above and below the highlighted area, a.k.a. everywhere but where your imaginary skiing googles would be.

Cheese Rolls recipe

Hi lovelies, I want to thank you for the beautiful comments on the previous post, I'm very surprised by the number of emails I received yesterday asking for the "Cheese Rolls" recipe ,and here it is :

1 1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 eggs
5 small cubes of butter (or 3 tablespoons of melted butter)
1/2 cup of milk

For stuffing you need: 200g of cheese (any kind you want), 100g of olives, Sausages (as much as you want).

Set your oven to 200 degrees.

Mix the flour, salt, sugar, with the baking powder into the food processor then add the butter and when you feel that the butter is almost melted with the mixture add the eggs and the milk (if the dough looks like a thick liquid add a pinch of flour till it gets thicker and keep doing that till the dough looks like a ball).
Use the rolling pin to flatten the dough and try to make it in a square shape (don't forget to spread a pinch of flour on the table before flatten the dough on it).
Wipe a drop of oil on the dough and then add the stuffing and when you're finished with the stuffing, roll the dough and cut it into rolls.
Put the rolls in a tray (wipe the tray with a drop of oil) and then wipe the surface of each roll with egg yolk ,and finally place the tray in the oven for about 20 minutes. Done!!
Look at the melted cheese.. So yummy!

plus size packing tips

Ashley Falcon

Hi everyone. It is officially summer-time ,are you as excited as I am??
And since not all of us are size zero, these packing tips for summer vacation by full-figured fashionista Ashley Falcon are really helpful.

Tip #1. Shorts and tanks. These are the items you'll basically live in for several days. Look for shorts that hit the knee or fall no more than three inches above. Anything shorter and you may as well draw invisible arrows that point directly to your thighs. Since black is too heavy for the beach, try navy instead, which is equally slimming.

Tip #2.
The pool dress. Throw this over your swimsuit for lunch or a lazy afternoon stroll. There's nothing as chic as a long, flowy sundress with a structured top, like the white-and-black feather-printed maxi from Rachel Pally. This lightweight stunner cuts a sexy hourglass figure and is ideal for women who need help in the cleavage department. (If you're top-heavy, V-neck dresses are your best bet.)

Tip#3. As for accessories, go wild with pastels and bold patterns. (Save the matchy-matchy routine for home!).

what's in my purse?

I love to see what's in other girls bags, I don't know why but I think it shows a lot of a girl's personality, don't you think?

My bag is Louis Vuitton (ummm, it's not an original :/)

I usually have so much stuff in my bag. Here's what I carry with me in the daily basis:
1. phone
2. wallet
3. eyeglasses
4. make-up bag(sewing kit+ extra socks+ band-aids)
5. keys
6. Glamour magazine
7. a book (now I'm reading "the hotel" by Arthur Hailey)
8. a notebook and a pen
9. sun block (by Avon) + moisturizer (by Kanebo)
10. coin purse
11. mirror
12. perfume (Celebre by Avon)
13. Creative zen stone
14. headphones
15. water bottle (not pictured)

when I was younger I used to not apply sun block before I go out, but now it is a must for me.
P.S a friend of mom had made this crochet coin purse for me, isn't it cute!!

Have an amazing weekend!!

did you watch sex and the city 2??

I've been thinking about this post since last weekend, in case you don't know I'm Muslim, and I had wore the head wrap about 4 years ago not because I had to but because I felt that I wanted to, I know alot of girls wearing veils (Niqab) and I know a lot of girls showing their hair.
but they kinda made it a big deal in the movie. women wear Niqab because they don't want to attract eyes to their faces (not because they don't have a voice) ,although I don't agree with wearing Niqab but I totally respect the belief.

to tell you the truth, some lines made me upset like:
"It's like they don't want them to have a voice." Carrie Bradshaw
"French fries for the lady with the veil.
How is she gonna do that?
A lift for every fry.
That is a major commitment to fried food." Carrie Bradshaw
bottom line, Don't believe everything you see in movies.

WOW, I'm so relieved that I made my point. haha
